Engineering Support Technician

Direct hire opportunity for an Engineering Support Technician.

The primary focus of this position is managing information and data that goes into our computer data system (SAP) that is used to build our customer and our own products.  This role is critical to get the engineering documents pulled together for new business and includes entering the list of parts needed to build the product, materials, and shop operations.  This role also manages customer engineering documentation (drawings, 3d models, etc.) that is used by our Engineering and Quality Departments to support the manufacturing of our customer’s products.  This is an administrative support office position this is not a hands-on test lab or Engineering position.

Responsibilities
-Responsible for creation and maintenance of bills of materials and shop routings in our computer data system. This role is critical for the creation and releasing of engineering information that drives our teams in Operations, Purchasing, Accounting and others to build our OEM, Automation, Versatran, and Bluebird products.        
-Gather needed documents to process new and revised projects (customer drawings, 3D models, quotes, customer PO).
-Process internal and external revisions and communicate with our teams the details of the revisions.
-Print drawings and distribute to shop work areas.
-Assist Estimating Team as needed: printing drawings, working RFQ’s with suppliers, miscellaneous tasks.

This is a great opportunity for someone who has worked in manufacturing and is interested in a position in engineering. Hours are 7am-3:30pm and starting pay is $22-25 per hour DOE.

-Ready to learn all aspects of this position.
-Must be meticulous with job tasks.
-Experience working in or at a manufacturing facility.
-Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work with minimal supervision.
-Strong computer skills.
