CNC Machinist - 2nd Shift

Trillium Staffing is now seeking a CNC Machinist on 2nd Shift!

Hours are 3:00PM – 1:00AM. Pay Rate: $23.00 – 30.00/ hour dependent on experience. Shift Differential: $2.00.

The company is a global leader in the manufacturing and servicing of lifting equipment, such as cranes, hoists, and material handling solutions.

Position Overview:
Operate various machines, including CNC lathes and CNC machining centers, to produce precision components such as shafts, wheels, pinions, gears, drums, sheaves, and other related crane parts.

Key Responsibilities:
-Utilize CNC lathes and CNC machining centers to perform necessary machining tasks.
-Interpret part drawings to ensure accurate dimensions and meet machining specifications.
—Document and report any discrepancies or deviations in routing processes, and make necessary adjustments.
-Keep supervisors informed of relevant issues or information that require attention or resolution.
-Maintain accurate records, files, and databases as necessary for the role.
-Ensure tooling is properly maintained and operational.
-Perform first-piece inspections and make required adjustments as needed.
-Complete tasks efficiently, maintaining safety standards and cost-effectiveness.
-Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
-Perform regular preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment.
-Exhibit a flexible, cooperative attitude and contribute to team goals and customer satisfaction.
-Other duties as assigned.
-Setup capabilities are considered a plus.

Vacation: 2 weeks per year (pro-rated in the first year based on start date); 3 weeks after 5-12 years of service; 4 weeks after 13+ years of service.

Sick Leave: 5 days annually, pro-rated in the first year after 90 days of employment.

-High school diploma or equivalent.
-Basic knowledge of tooling applications and general shop practices.
-Familiarity with common machinist tools and related equipment.
-General proficiency in computer usage (e.g., Outlook, basic data entry, browsing).
-Ability to work within required tolerances and conduct visual inspections.
-Proficient in using precision measuring instruments and hand tools.
-Ability to read and interpret detailed drawings, blueprints, work orders, etc.
-Regular physical requirements include standing, walking, reaching, and using hands for tasks such as handling tools or equipment.
-Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and perform tasks requiring vision (close, distance, peripheral, and ability to adjust focus).
