Trillium Staffing is now seeking an Outside Sales Representative for a hybrid position out of Nashville!

As an Outside Sales Representative, you will be responsible for developing and managing relationships with both existing and new customers. You will sell a range of products and services while working to achieve sales and profitability targets. This position requires frequent visits to commercial construction job sites and contractor offices within your assigned territory.

Key Responsibilities:
-Regular travel within your assigned territory, visiting commercial construction job sites and contractor offices. This includes frequent in-and-out of the vehicle and navigating various job site terrains.
-Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, handling day-to-day relations and providing customer service, including emergency or special deliveries.
-Conduct regular and systematic sales calls to existing and potential customers.
-Introduce new products and collaborate with vendor representatives and company management on joint sales efforts.
-Assist inside sales teams with the quote/order process and establish a strong partnership with them.
-Follow up on quotes generated by inside sales staff with a sense of urgency.
-Collaborate with Sales Management on larger quote opportunities.
-Share market intelligence and competitive information with inside sales teams to facilitate quoting activities.
-Develop new business by identifying prospective customers through market research, business directories, and industry events.
-Use CRM software to track activities and ensure proper follow-up in accordance with company guidelines.
-Utilize catalogs, brochures, and marketing materials to support sales efforts.
-Demonstrate a solid understanding of spec sheets and customer requirements for key job sites.
-Attend sales meetings and product training sessions as required.
-Resolve customer complaints and assist with delinquent accounts when necessary.
-Contribute to the development and execution of sales plans for your territory.
-Participate in periodic sales meetings with regional managers to review forecasts and territory activities.
-Maintain a professional representation of the company at all times.
-Flexibility in scheduling sales calls is necessary, as commercial construction sites typically begin at 6:00 am, and contractor offices are open until 5:00 pm.
-Perform other duties typical of an Outside Sales Representative.

Base salary (approximately $85,000) plus performance-based bonuses, with unlimited earning potential. On average, first-year earnings exceed $100K, with top performers earning well above $150,000.

Requirements:
-Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
-Strong technical skills and proficiency in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
-Goal-oriented with a strong sense of urgency and personal integrity.
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
-Outstanding customer service and relationship-building skills.
-Strong organizational and time management abilities.
-Capable of making effective presentations, negotiating, and closing sales.
-Excellent attendance and punctuality to ensure timely customer response.
-Self-motivated and able to work independently to meet or exceed goals.
-A valid driver’s license with a record of safe driving.

Education/Experience:
-A degree is preferred, though relevant industry experience can be considered in lieu of a degree.
-1-2 years of relevant experience (preferably in construction supply sales).
-Experience working with mechanical or electrical contractors is preferred, as is prior outside sales experience.
