Field Service Technician

Trillium Staffing is currently seeking a local Field Service Technician to add to our client’s growing team!

The Local Field Service Technician will be responsible for responding to customer service/work order requests, performing routine maintenance and PM’s at customer sites, completing product installations, sample collection, troubleshooting and performing diagnostic checks on equipment, and promoting equipment upgrades to clients as necessary.  Our client has a strong focus on industrial pumps and compressors with a large majority of business coming from local manufacturing such as cheese/dairy, paper, and wastewater facilities. Experience repairing vacuum pumps, fluid handling pumps and various compressors is a huge plus. HVAC experience also a plus. A background installing mechanical seals, bearings, couplings as well as machining or welding experience is preferred. Service Techs will receive a company van to keep at all times, therefore a valid drivers license with an insurable driving record is required in this role. Our client offers an in-house training program geared towards industry specific training for candidates interested in this field.

This is a fantastic direct hire opportunity with a well-established organization in the Chicago area! The standard working hours are Monday through Friday 7:00 am - 4:00 pm, with flexibility. The starting hourly pay is $26-34+ per hour, based on experience level.

Qualifications:
-2-4+ years’ experience in a related role with Mechanical Assembly, Industrial Maintenance, or Automotive experience preferred. Open to new E/M Grads.
-Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot, required.
-Hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical experience strongly preferred.
-Welding and/or manual machining and fabrication experience a plus.
-Ability to work on-call as needed.
-Valid driver’s license and good driving record, required.
