Finance & Controlling Manager

Now hiring a Finance & Controlling Manager for a direct-hire opportunity in Berlin, OH!

Established manufacturing company is seeking a Finance & Controlling Manager to lead financial operations and drive operational efficiency and profitability.

The Finance & Controlling Manager will lead financial planning, cost analysis, reporting, and financial controls while serving as a key business partner to site leadership. This position will coordinate accounting activities with external service providers, strengthen financial processes, and provide insight to support operational efficiency and profitability.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in manufacturing finance or plant controlling, along with a solid understanding of U.S. GAAP, manufacturing cost accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting.

Responsibilities:
-Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
-Monitor financial performance, analyze budget-to-actual variances, and prepare management reports.
-Oversee manufacturing cost analysis, standard costing, inventory valuation, and product profitability.
-Oversee accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, fixed assets, and intercompany transactions.
-Coordinate month-end and year-end closing activities to support accurate and timely financial reporting.
-Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, internal reporting requirements, and company financial policies.
-Oversee cash flow forecasting, working capital, and banking-related activities.
-Support tax compliance, financial audits, and required reporting in partnership with external advisors.
-Develop and improve financial processes, internal controls, documentation, and approval procedures.
-Evaluate capital expenditure requests and provide financial analysis to support investment and business decisions.
-Collaborate with local leadership and broader finance teams on operational and financial priorities.

This is an in-office position located in Berlin, OH. Relocation assistance is available! Salary range is $100-110,000 depending on experience plus 12% bonus opportunity!

Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
-3+ years of experience in plant controlling, manufacturing finance, and cost accounting.
-Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP, manufacturing cost accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
-Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems. (SAP experience preferred)
