Diesel Technician
Tremendous opportunity for an experienced Diesel Technician with this growing Truck company in Grove City!
The Diesel Technician focuses on the safety and structural integrity of a straight truck fleet. You will handle everything from diagnosing air brake leaks to replacing shocks and troubleshooting electrical wiring for lighting systems. This position is primarily in-shop with rare field work, making it ideal for a technician who wants a stable shop environment and is eager to continuously learn and expand their skills.
Key Responsibilities
Brake System Diagnostics & Repair:
-Inspect, troubleshoot, and rebuild heavy-duty air brake and hydraulic brake systems.
-Replace brake shoes, drums, pads, rotors, s-cams, slack adjusters, and air chambers.
-Diagnose and repair ABS electrical faults and air line leaks.
Suspension & Steering Maintenance:
-Diagnose and replace suspension components, including air bags, leveling valves, leaf springs, and heavy-duty shock absorbers.
-Inspect and replace steering linkages, kingpins, and tie rod ends.
Electrical & Lighting Systems:
-Troubleshoot, trace, and repair 12V/24V electrical circuits, wiring harnesses, and connectors.
-Replace headlights, tail lights, marker lights, turn signals, and interior cab lighting.
-Shop-Focused Productivity:
-Perform the majority of work within a climate-controlled maintenance bay (rarely field or roadside service).
-Document all repairs, parts used, and inspection findings accurately in the fleet management system.
Pay range will be:
Entry Level - $30-$34/hr
Intermediate Level - $34-$37/hr
Senior Level - $38-45/hr.
This is an onsite position with some Overtime available but rare. Apply now!
Qualifications:
-1+ yr experience as a Diesel Technician
-Must have own tools
-CDL B or A a plus but not required
