Structural Welder - Per Diem Offered

Trillium Construction is seeking experienced Structural Welders for a bar joist reinforcement project near Grapevine, TX.

Project Details
-Start Date: ASAP
-Schedule: Monday-Friday, some Saturdays, approximately 50 hours per week
-Hours: 7:00 AM-5:00 PM
-Pay: $35/hour
-Per Diem: No per diem available at this time
-Estimated Duration: Through 1/1/27 

Job Duties
-Perform structural welding on existing steel bar joists for reinforcement and strengthening.
-Weld reinforcement plates, steel angles, channels, stiffeners, and other structural components.
-Read and interpret structural drawings, welding details, blueprints, and project specifications.
-Measure, cut, fit, and position structural steel reinforcement materials.
-Perform SMAW (Stick), FCAW (Flux Core), and other required welding processes.
-Prepare steel surfaces by grinding, cleaning, and removing contaminants before welding.
-Complete welds in overhead, vertical, horizontal, and flat positions as required.
-Inspect completed welds for proper size, penetration, appearance, and workmanship.
-Safely operate grinders, torches, welding machines, and other fabrication tools.

Qualifications
-Previous structural welding experience required.
-Must be able to pass a SMAW D1.1 3G/4G bend test on 3/8-inch beveled plate with backing strip.
-OSHA 10 and lift certifications preferred.
-Must have basic welding tools and wear PPE.
-Ability to pass all pre-employment screenings.
