Senior IT Project Manager

Trillium Professional is now seeking a Senior IT Project Manager / Future Enterprise PMO Lead for a long-term, hybrid position in Vermont!

Candidates will be onsite 2 days per week. This is a six-month temp-to-perm opportunity. Pay is approximately $150,000 annually.

An organization is seeking an experienced Senior IT Project Manager to lead key transformation initiatives and help establish an Enterprise Project Management Office.

This is a hands-on delivery role for someone who can manage complex projects while mentoring and coaching others. The position offers the opportunity to help build and potentially lead the Enterprise PMO, planned for late 2026 or early 2027.

Key Responsibilities
-Lead technology and business transformation projects from planning through implementation.
-Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, resources, risks, and dependencies.
-Partner with business leaders, technical teams, and vendors to define requirements and deliver results.
-Provide clear project updates, escalate issues, and resolve barriers to delivery.
-Mentor and coach colleagues to strengthen project management capabilities.
-Help establish practical project management standards, governance, reporting, and portfolio prioritization.
-Support merger and acquisition integration initiatives as needed.
-Coordinate change management, stakeholder communication, and operational handoffs.

Desired Qualifications
-Extensive experience delivering complex IT and business transformation projects.
-Demonstrated ability to mentor, coach, and influence cross-functional teams.
-Experience establishing or improving PMO practices and project governance.
-Strong communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
-Ability to balance hands-on project delivery with development of an enterprise PMO.
-M&A integration experience preferred.
-Experience using Agile, traditional, or blended project delivery methods.
-PMP or related certification a plus.
-Availability to work onsite in Vermont several days per week.
