Maintenance Mechanic

Seeking an experienced, hands-on mechanic for a full-time, temp-to-hire position in Warren, Michigan.

Strong automotive repair, industrial maintenance, or machine-rebuilding experience would be a good fit.

The work involves diagnosing mechanical problems, disassembling equipment, inspecting components, replacing bearings and seals, and carefully reassembling and testing machines. We need someone with proven repair experience who can work independently.

Hours can be flexible but 7am-3pm standard. Pay is $30-35 an hour.

Essential qualities and skills:
-Consistent punctuality, reliable attendance, and dependable transportation.
-Excellent attention to detail, including accurate measurements, correct fits, and checking completed work.
-Confident use of hand tools, power tools, and basic measuring instruments.
-Safe working habits, good shop awareness, and a clean, organized approach.
-Flexibility to handle varied tasks, communicate problems promptly, and ask questions rather than guess.
-The ideal candidate is willing to help with any shop task, including basic cleaning, organizing, and other routine work, and does not consider any job too small.

Valuable additional skills:
-MIG/TIG welding, structural steel fabrication, fitting and assembling frames or skids, pipe fitting, and reading basic mechanical drawings. -These are strong advantages; mechanical repair ability is the priority.
