Maintenance Assistant

Part-time entry-level maintenance assistant needed for growing organization located in Brighton, MI.

Pay rate is $18.50/hr. Schedule is 6:30a-3:00p, 24 hours a week. Could potentially lead to full-time hours. 

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with basic mechanical and electrical knowledge who enjoys working with their hands and wants to gain experience in industrial maintenance.

Job Responsibilities
-Clean injection molding presses and surrounding equipment.
-Blow out and clean machine filters, vents, and components.
-Assist with basic preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment.
-Perform routine cleaning, lubrication, and equipment inspections. 
-Assist maintenance technicians with minor repairs and general maintenance tasks. 
-Identify and report potential equipment problems. 
-Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment. 
-Follow all company safety procedures. 
-Perform additional maintenance duties as assigned. 
-General custodial tasks

Qualifications
-Mechanically inclined with a willingness to learn.
-Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical systems preferred.
-General knowledge of hand and power tools.
-Ability to follow directions and work independently.
-Previous manufacturing experience is a plus but not required.
-Must be willing to work flexible hours as needed.
-Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
-Comfortable working in an industrial manufacturing environment.
