Automotive Technician

A growing automotive warehouse in Akron is hiring Yard Workers! Immediate openings and contract-to-hire opportunity!

Pay rate is $19 - 22/hour, based on experience. Schedule is 1st shift, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM (must be available for occasional overtime). This is a temp-to-hire opportunity!

Looking for a hands-on job with the opportunity to build your skills and grow into a long-term position? Join an automotive warehouse team where you’ll learn to dismantle vehicles, remove automotive parts, and prepare parts for inventory and storage. Training is provided, and all tools are supplied!

What You’ll Do
- Assist experienced dismantlers with safely taking apart vehicles and removing automotive parts.
- Learn how to identify, tag, organize, and store parts properly.
- Work alongside engine dismantlers to learn additional dismantling processes as needed.
- Operate a yard cart after training.
- Follow all workplace safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

What You’ll Need
- Experience in automotive repair, mechanical work, auto body repair, or vehicle dismantling is required.
- Willingness to learn and work in a hands-on, physically demanding environment.
- Basic computer and math skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and established procedures.
- Steel-toe boots and long pants are required.
- Training is provided! New hires typically train alongside an experienced team member for the first 1-2 weeks and continue working with the team afterward.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly throughout the shift.
- Must be comfortable working in tight spaces and underneath vehicles, including in awkward positions.
- Must consistently follow safety requirements and wear appropriate PPE.
