Crane Operator - Per Diem Offered

We are seeking an experienced Crane Operator / CDL Class A Driver for a full-time, direct-hire opportunity supporting transformer assembly and field installation crews for Nationwide Travel.

Job Details:
-Pay: $35–$38/hour
-Hours: 70–90 hours per week
-Schedule: Full-time | Traveling position
-Travel Rotation: 4–6 weeks on assignment, followed by 1 week home
-Travel: Travel to and from jobsite paid
-Hotel: Paid
-Per Diem: $70/day
-Employment: Direct Hire

We are seeking an experienced Crane Operator / CDL Class A Driver for a full-time, direct-hire opportunity supporting transformer assembly and field installation crews.

This is more than a crane operating position. The ideal candidate will be comfortable traveling to jobsites, hauling equipment and materials, operating mobile cranes and telehandlers, and assisting transformer crews with rigging and hoisting operations.

What You’ll Do
-Safely operate Class A trucks and trailers to transport equipment and materials
-Haul equipment using flatbed trailers and lowboys
-Operate 40-ton Rough Terrain cranes and mobile/boom cranes
-Operate a swing-cab crane
-Assist with crane setup, positioning, and tear-down
-Perform rigging using chains, cables, hooks, and other lifting equipment
-Operate telehandlers to move materials and equipment around the jobsite
-Complete required crane and equipment inspections
-Work alongside transformer assembly crews
-Support lifting and material-handling activities during transformer projects
-Travel to various construction and project locations
-Follow all company and jobsite safety requirements

Required Qualifications
-CDL Class A
-NCCCO TLL certification
-3+ years of recent 40-ton RT crane experience or equivalent experience
-Swing-cab crane experience
-1+ year of recent flatbed truck/trailer driving and hauling experience
-Mobile crane and rigging experience
-Clean driving record
-Clean criminal background
-Must successfully pass required pre-employment screening
-Construction or heavy industrial jobsite experience
-Ability to safely lift 50–100+ lbs.
-Willingness and ability to travel extensively

Preferred Qualifications
-1+ year of telehandler experience
-Current telehandler certification
-Transformer, electrical, utility, or heavy industrial construction experience
-Strong mechanical aptitude
-Additional rigging or crane-related certifications
