Senior Structural Engineer

Trillium is seeking a Structural Engineer PE in Pittsburgh!

This Direct-Hire opportunity is seeking a seasoned Structural Engineer with their PE to lead a small team of engineers. Join a well-established engineering organization where you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality structural designs for a diverse portfolio of projects and clients. This position offers the opportunity to lead projects from concept through completion while collaborating closely with project managers, engineers, designers, contractors, and clients. The selected engineer must be capable of reading and interpreting structural drawings, utilizing common engineering design and analysis software, and taking responsibility for reviewing and stamping approved engineering plans.

Responsibilities:
• Lead structural engineering and design efforts for a variety of projects
• Prepare, review, and approve structural designs and construction documents
• Stamp approved engineering plans as the Engineer of Record
• Read and interpret structural drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and designers to deliver high-quality design solutions
• Coordinate projects with clients, contractors, consultants, and internal stakeholders
• Develop project specifications and provide technical support to project management teams
• Review shop drawings and technical documentation for accuracy and compliance
• Conduct site visits to evaluate existing conditions and support project execution
• Maintain strong relationships with internal and external clients
• Represent the company at meetings, presentations, public hearings, and project reviews
• Mentor and support junior engineers and technical staff

Schedule is 1st Shift / Monday - Friday / 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. This is a hybrid opportunity / In office 3 days per week. Annual salary is $140,000+, DOE.

• Registered Professional Engineer (PE) with 5-10+ years of structural engineering experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited university
• Strong knowledge of IBC, ASCE, ACI, AISC, and applicable building codes and design standards
• Experience designing and detailing steel, wood, concrete, and masonry structures
• Ability to read and interpret structural drawings and construction documents
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit
• Experience with structural analysis and design software including RAM Structural Systems, Enercalc, and STAADPro
• Ability to develop project specifications and review technical documentation
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills including Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Excellent written, verbal, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Self-motivated with a passion for engineering excellence and mentoring others
