Sales Manager
Trillium Staffing is now seeking an automotive Sales Manager for direct-hire in Plymouth, MI!
Salary: $95,000–$125,000 annually
We’re looking for an experienced Sales Manager to grow automotive business, strengthen customer relationships, and identify new opportunities with existing and prospective customers.
This is a high-impact role for someone who enjoys working directly with automotive OEM and Tier 1/Tier 2 customers, negotiating business, developing sales strategies, and bringing teams together to win profitable new programs.
You’ll work closely with customers and cross-functional teams across North America, Japan, and other global locations to develop new business, support product launches, and drive long-term growth.
What You’ll Do
-Build and maintain strong relationships with automotive customers and serve as a key point of contact.
-Identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to grow existing accounts.
-Manage customer quotes, contracts, pricing, and new business opportunities from initial inquiry through award and launch.
-Negotiate pricing, cost reductions, payment terms, and other commercial agreements.
-Analyze program profitability, budgets, and return on investment to support profitable growth.
-Develop and monitor annual sales goals and mid-term business plans.
-Lead customer meetings, presentations, business reviews, and regular account visits.
-Coordinate with engineering, manufacturing, logistics, purchasing, finance, and other teams to meet customer requirements.
-Support successful launches of new products and programs.
-Address customer concerns related to quality, delivery, pricing, and other business issues.
-Manage customer portals, quotations, tooling information, and required documentation.
-Coordinate new business approvals and communicate awards and program updates with global teams.
-Gather market and customer intelligence to support pricing, costing, and business development strategies.
-Collaborate with teams in the U.S., Mexico, Japan, and other global locations to deliver customer and business objectives.
-Support business development activities with Japanese automotive OEMs.
-Take on special projects and other responsibilities as needed.

What We’re Looking For
-Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in sales, account management, or a related field.
-3+ years of experience working with automotive OEM, Tier 1, or Tier 2 customers.
-Experience with customer quotations, contracts, pricing, and negotiations.
-Strong business development and relationship-building skills.
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
-Strong analytical, organizational, and time-management abilities.
-Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
-Ability to lead cross-functional teams and work effectively across multiple organizations and cultures.
-Familiarity with Japanese business culture; English/Japanese bilingual skills strongly preferred.
-Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
-Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
-Valid driver’s license and flexibility to work outside standard hours when business needs require it.
