Trillium Staffing is now seeking a Logistics Supervisor for a direct-hire opportunity in Plymouth, MI!

Salary is $65,000–$85,000 annually.

We’re looking for a Logistics Supervisor to lead day-to-day logistics operations across automotive parts and wire harness programs. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys solving problems, and can balance customer needs, inventory, transportation, and operational priorities.

You’ll work closely with customers, suppliers, production teams, 3PL partners, and internal leadership to keep materials moving, meet delivery commitments, improve processes, and control costs.

What You’ll Do
-Oversee logistics activities supporting automotive production, service, and prototype programs.
-Manage customer orders, forecasts, delivery requirements, and logistics schedules.
-Work directly with automotive customers to resolve delivery, material flow, and logistics issues.
-Coordinate with production and warehouse teams to maintain appropriate inventory levels and support production needs.
-Lead inventory audits and help ensure inventory and financial records remain accurate.
-Monitor and improve ERP, shipping, and accounting system data accuracy.
-Analyze logistics costs and identify opportunities to reduce expenses and improve efficiency.
-Manage relationships and operational activities with third-party logistics (3PL) providers.
-Support 3PL cost reviews, negotiations, process improvements, and training.
-Investigate customer delivery concerns and lead corrective actions when needed.
-Develop reports, spreadsheets, and dashboards to communicate logistics performance and trends to leadership.
-Supervise and develop Logistics Specialists, including training, performance management, scheduling, and daily support.
-Support warehouse operations when needed.
-Work with U.S. Customs to support international shipments and import activities.
-Provide logistics support during off-hours when required to meet customer and production needs.
-Travel to off-site locations periodically, with travel of up to 20%.
-Take on special projects and other responsibilities as needed.

What We’re Looking For
-Experience in logistics, supply chain, materials management, or a related field.
-Strong leadership and communication skills.
-Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
-Strong analytical skills and the ability to turn data into clear, actionable information.
-Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
-Experience with EDI and logistics or ERP systems is a plus.
-Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills.
-Ability to work independently, take initiative, and make decisions in a fast-moving environment.
-Professional and collaborative approach when working with customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
-Ability to build strong working relationships and lead a team effectively.
-Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel up to 20% as needed.
