CNC Technician
CNC technician position available in the Eaton Rapids, Michigan area. This is a direct hire opportunity working at an established manufacturing company. 2nd shift opportunity with a schedule of 2:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Pay range is $23.00 to $25.00 an hour.
Responsibilities of the CNC Technician role:
-Drive improvements in quality, productivity, machine uptime, tool life as well cost reduction.
-Coordinate machine setups, tool changes.
-Troubleshooting, and maintenance
-Provide technical leadership and support to manufacturing operations.
-Develop and maintain processes, quality documentation, and employee training.
-Monitor process data, production schedules, quality, and output; resolve issues as needed.
-Will train employees and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and company standards.
-Support equipment, process and continuous improvement initiatives.
-Will maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
-Other duties as assigned.
Requirements, knowledge, skills & abilities for the CNC technician role:
-Experience in CNC machining, tooling process, and maintenance fields with preferably five or more years of experience.
-Working knowledge of CNC operation as well as all other machining equipment.
-Must understand all process control monitoring equipment and be able to
implement improvements as required.
-Highly motivated and able to work independently. Must be able to work flexible hours and/or shift rotation.
-Strong communication and interpersonal skills and team player qualities
-Sound command of English language (written and oral).
-CAD/CAM, AutoCAD or other related computer graphics/drafting related experience would be an asset.
-Computer skills: Excel, Timeline, etc., would be an asset.
-Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position and work within an automotive manufacturing environment.
-Ability to drive/operator a fork truck.
-Associate degree essential
