Trillium Drivers is now seeking a Dispatcher in Houston ,TX!

Pay rate is $22-$25 Hourly DOE. Schedule is M-F 6am-3pm or past. Trillium Drivers is seeking an experienced Dispatcher to coordinate and manage daily routes for a fleet of five trucks, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.

The Dispatcher will work closely with the Shipping Department and Warehouse Manager to support efficient operations, resolve delivery issues, and maintain strong communication with drivers and customers. Excellent customer service skills are essential, as this position will frequently communicate with customers regarding delivery status, scheduling, and inquiries.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Dispatching & Routing
-Plan, schedule, and dispatch routes for a fleet of 5 trucks.
-Optimize daily delivery schedules to maximize efficiency and on-time performance.
-Monitor driver locations and progress throughout the day using tracking systems.
-Communicate route changes, delays, or urgent updates to drivers in real time.

Coordination with Warehouse & Shipping
-Collaborate with the Warehouse Manager to ensure shipments are properly loaded and ready for delivery.
-Work with the Shipping Department to verify order accuracy, shipment priorities, and scheduling needs.
-Coordinate pickup and delivery times based on warehouse readiness and customer requirements.
-Communicate shortages, delays, or operational issues to the appropriate departments.

Customer Service & Communication
-Serve as the primary point of contact for customer delivery inquiries.
-Provide proactive updates to customers regarding delivery windows, delays, or schedule changes.
-Handle customer complaints or issues in a professional, solution-focused manner.
-Maintain a high level of courtesy and professionalism in all customer interactions.

Documentation & Recordkeeping
-Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, driver assignments, and daily dispatch activity.
-Ensure all delivery documentation, manifests, and load sheets are complete and accurate.
-Track and report delivery performance, issues, and route efficiency to the Warehouse Manager.
-Assist with filing, data entry, and documentation required by the Shipping Department.

Operational Support
-Monitor truck availability, maintenance needs, and driver schedules.
-Communicate with drivers regarding safety protocols and company procedures.
-Support warehouse operations during peak periods as needed, including paperwork, communication, and coordination.

Skills & Qualifications
-Clean background and ability to successfully pass a drug test.
-1–3 years of dispatching, logistics, or transportation experience preferred.
-Strong communication and customer service skills.
-Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
-Familiarity with route-planning tools or GPS tracking systems.
-Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
-Proficiency with basic computer programs, including Excel, email, and dispatch software.
-Knowledge of shipping and warehouse operations is a plus.
