Trillium Professional Staffing is now hiring 1st and 2nd shift Press Brake Operators in Orange County CA

Job Type: Full-Time, Hourly
Pay Range: $23.00–$35.00 per hour
Shifts Available: 1st and 2nd Shift
2nd Shift Differential: +$1.00 per hour
Overtime may be available or required based on business needs.

Job Summary:
The Press Brake Operator is responsible for safely and accurately setting up and operating press brake machinery to produce quality parts according to drawings, specifications, and production requirements. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to troubleshoot equipment and make adjustments as needed to maintain quality and productivity.

Responsibilities:
-Set up machinery and tooling for production operations.
-Start and operate machinery and make adjustments as necessary to improve performance, quality, and production efficiency.
-Set up and operate press brake machinery to bend parts according to engineering drawings and specifications.
-Load and unload materials and parts as required.
-Inspect completed parts to ensure they meet established quality standards.
-Troubleshoot machine and production issues and make appropriate adjustments.
-Follow established reporting and recordkeeping procedures.
-Report equipment, quality, safety, or production issues to the supervisor.
-Comply with all applicable safety, health, and company regulations and procedures.
-Maintain clean and organized machinery and work areas.
-Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including Lean Manufacturing and 5S processes.
-Perform other job-related duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager.

Essential Functions and Physical Requirements:
The position requires the ability to perform the following physical activities, with or without reasonable accommodation:
-Lift materials, tooling, or parts weighing up to 25 pounds as needed.
-Push materials or equipment weighing up to 60 pounds as needed.
-Carry materials weighing up to 20 pounds for distances of approximately 2 feet as needed.
-Load and unload materials.
-Walk approximately 10% of the workday.
-Stand/work at a workstation approximately 85% of the workday.
-Kneel, squat, bend, and reach as needed, approximately 5% of the workday.
-Handle and position tooling and materials safely.
-Stand and work for extended periods of time.

Required Skills:
-Ability to read and interpret engineering and production drawings.
-Familiarity with SolidWorks or similar CAD software.
-Ability to use common inspection and measurement tools.
-Understanding of manufacturing and production processes.
-Mechanical aptitude and strong attention to detail.
-Ability to troubleshoot equipment and production issues.
-Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using different units of measurement.
-Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
-Strong communication and teamwork skills.
-Ability to safely handle and lift tooling and materials.
-Ability to stand, bend, squat, and walk for extended periods as required.

Qualifications:
-High school diploma or GED preferred, or a minimum of 3 years of relevant press brake operator experience.
-Previous machine operating experience in a manufacturing environment or similar relevant experience.
-Experience reading and interpreting engineering or production drawings.
-Experience using SolidWorks or similar CAD software preferred.
-Experience using inspection and measurement tools.
-Knowledge of production and manufacturing processes.
-Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
-Basic mathematical and measurement skills.
-Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
-Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
-Ability to lift and handle tooling and materials as required.
-Willingness to work 1st or 2nd shift, including weekends and overtime when necessary.
-Ability to pass pre-employment screenings.
