Electrical Engineer

Trillium Professional is now seeking an Electrical Engineer in Mineral Wells, Texas for a direct-hire opportunity!

This is onsite, Monday through Thursday, four 10-hour shifts. Salary is $75,000–$95,000 annually.

A leading aerospace and defense manufacturer is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design, develop, analyze and support electrical and electronic circuits, assemblies and systems for new and existing products.

This position supports military aircraft programs and requires experience designing, testing and troubleshooting electrical or electronic products in a manufacturing environment. The Electrical Engineer will create and maintain schematics, wiring diagrams, bills of materials and technical documentation while ensuring designs meet customer requirements, engineering principles, quality standards and applicable regulations.

Key Responsibilities
-Review customer requirements and develop electrical design concepts and technical solutions that meet performance, cost, schedule and reliability objectives.
-Design, analyze and support electrical and electronic circuits, assemblies and systems.
-Create and maintain electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, bills of materials and engineering documentation.
-Collaborate with mechanical engineers, software engineers and designers to define and implement system-level hardware requirements.
-Support PCB design activities, including component selection, circuit-layout reviews and design validation.
-Develop and execute test plans, troubleshooting procedures and verification activities.
-Investigate and resolve production, manufacturing and field issues involving electrical hardware and system performance.
-Support engineering change requests, configuration management and product lifecycle processes.
-Participate in component-obsolescence management and identify replacement solutions with procurement, suppliers and operations.
-Provide technical recommendations related to manufacturing processes, test equipment and Design for Manufacturing improvements.
-Evaluate electrical designs for compliance with customer specifications, engineering requirements, quality standards and industry regulations.

Required Qualifications
-Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
-Three or more years of electrical engineering experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
-Experience designing, testing and supporting electrical or electronic systems in a manufacturing environment.
-Experience with electrical design and analysis tools, including schematic capture and PCB design software such as Altium, OrCAD, KiCad or similar.
-Knowledge of analog, digital and power-electronics design principles.
-Experience developing and validating digital signal processing solutions using embedded processors, FPGAs, systems on chips or specialized DSP hardware.
-Familiarity with electronic-component selection, circuit analysis and signal-integrity considerations.
-Understanding of Design for Manufacturing, Design for Testability and product lifecycle management principles.

Preferred Qualifications
-Knowledge of RF engineering principles, including signal propagation, spectrum management, noise analysis, link budgets and RF performance characterization.
-Experience with Software Defined Radio architecture, development, integration and testing.
-Experience with MATLAB, Simulink, Python, GNU Radio, LabVIEW or similar signal-processing and analysis tools.
