Medical Equipment Repair Technician

Trillium Staffing is seeking a field-based Sterilizer Repair Technician in the Davenport, IA area. This role performs hands-on installation, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair on critical healthcare and laboratory equipment (autoclaves, sterilizers, washers, surgical tables, and blanket warmers). You will work directly with hospitals, research facilities, and labs to ensure equipment operates safely and reliably.

Key Position Details:
-Pay Rate: $31.00 – $36.00 / hour
-Bonus: $5,000 sign-on bonus (paid out with first paycheck)
-Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
-Perks: Company vehicle, fuel card, and tools provided

Key Responsibilities:
-Perform maintenance, repair, and installation on sterilization and washing equipment across major brands (Steris/AMSCO, Getinge/CASTLE, Tuttnauer, etc.).
-Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and steam system issues.
-Maintain accurate field reports, parts inventory, and work logs using company software within 24 hours of service.
-Manage service schedules, maintain customer relationships, and deliver clear on-site communication and training.
-Adhere to all safety protocols and facility guidelines in clinical environments.

Requirements:
-High School Diploma or GED; technical degree in mechanical/electrical systems preferred.
-1–3+ years of direct field service or mechanical/electrical/steam equipment maintenance experience.
-Experience with industrial steam, plumbing, HVAC, or naval mechanical systems is highly desirable.
-Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
-Ability to travel up to 60–90% to regional customer sites (within a ~3-hour radius) and handle emergency service calls as needed.
-Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb, bend, and stand for extended periods.
