Production Supervisor
Warren Automotive Manufacturer Seeking a Stamping Production Lead / Production Supervisor for a direct-hire opportunity!
This is 1st Shift, $80K - $120K with great benefits, ongoing training and certifications and career growth! Schedule is Monday-Friday, 5:00 AM - 2:30 PM with overtime may be required based on production needs.
A growing automotive manufacturing company in the Warren area is looking for an experienced Senior Press Technician to join its production team. This is a hands-on, floor-based leadership position for someone who has strong stamping and press experience and enjoys sharing their knowledge with others.
You’ll play an important role in training and guiding Die Set Operators, supporting production performance, troubleshooting equipment and tooling issues, and helping drive quality and continuous improvement.

What You’ll Do
-Lead, train, and monitor a team of Die Set Operators on the production floor.
-Follow up with team members to ensure production, quality, and performance expectations are being met.
-Troubleshoot press, tooling, and production issues and help identify effective solutions.
-Support process improvements designed to increase efficiency, quality, and productivity.
-Maintain a strong focus on workplace safety and ensure established procedures are followed.
-Promote good housekeeping and 5S practices throughout the production area.
-Work closely with Tool Room, Press Room Setup, Maintenance, and other departments to resolve issues and keep production moving.
-Monitor and support quality standards and manufacturing processes.
-Utilize knowledge of QMS/EMS requirements.
-Assist with additional manufacturing or operational needs as directed by management.

What We’re Looking For
-Significant hands-on experience with metal stamping presses, preferably with equipment ranging from approximately 100 to 2,500 tons.
-Experience with major press equipment such as AIDA and Minster.
-Knowledge of transfer press systems and servo/pendulum operating modes.
Strong understanding of press setup and critical operating parameters, including:
-Pilot release
-Counterbalance
-Feed angles
-Die protection
-Straightener settings
-Steel/aluminum alignment
-Material gauges from approximately 1mm–5mm
-Experience with press monitoring and die protection systems.
-Familiarity with Allen-Bradley PLCs and related controls.
-Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to quickly diagnose and correct tooling or die-related issues.
-Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and apply shop math for measurements and critical part characteristics.
-Comfortable using hand tools, measuring equipment, and manufacturing equipment.
-Understanding of safety requirements applicable to press operations and metal manufacturing, including OSHA/MIOSHA standards.
-Familiarity with IATF 16949 and ISO 14001.
-Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively across multiple departments.
-Previous experience training, mentoring, or leading production employees is highly preferred.
