Mechanical Assembly Lead

Trillium Staffing is now seeking a Mechanical Assembly Lead in Houston, TX for a direct-hire opportunity!

Pay range is $30-$40/hr. DOE. Schedule is 6 am-4:30/5pm Monday-Friday with some Saturdays as needed.

We’re hiring a Mechanical Assembly Lead to oversee the assembly of custom overhead crane systems in a manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for leading technicians, driving production schedules, and ensuring high-quality assembly of critical mechanical components.

Responsibilities
-Lead and support mechanical assembly technicians
-Oversee installation and alignment of hoists, gearboxes, motors, bearings, couplings, and drive systems
-Coordinate workflow and manpower to meet production schedules
-Ensure assemblies meet engineering specifications and quality standards
-Troubleshoot mechanical fit-up, alignment, and performance issues
-Drive first-pass quality while minimizing rework and delays
-Promote a strong safety culture and continuous improvement

Qualifications
-Leadership experience in mechanical assembly, manufacturing, industrial equipment, or heavy machinery
-Experience installing and aligning industrial machinery and power transmission equipment
-Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and assembly documentation
-Knowledge of mechanical tolerances, precision measurement tools, and alignment techniques
-Strong troubleshooting, communication, and leadership skills

Preferred Experience
-Overhead cranes, material handling equipment, or heavy industrial machinery
-Production scheduling and workforce management
-Strong commitment to safety and quality
