Principal Senior Civil Engineer

Principal Senior Civil Engineer position available in the Brighton, Michigan area working for our client who is an established engineering firm.  

Direct hire opportunity with a salary range of $141k to $155k to lead complex engineering projects. In office position.  The Principle Senior Civil Engineer is responsible for the oversight, design, and approval process for residential, commercial, and automotive projects, including planning, entitlement services, site plan approval, and engineering design through construction 

Key Responsibilities for Senior Civil Engineer:
-Lead civil engineering projects from design through completion.
-Prepare and review designs, plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
-Ensure regulatory and quality compliance.
-Manage clients, contractors, budgets, and project teams.
-Mentor junior engineers and technical staff.
-Support business development and client relationships.
-Represent the organization with boards, community leaders, customers, and businesses.

Qualifications for the Senior Civil Engineer:
-Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
-PE license in Michigan or ability to obtain.
-10+ years of civil engineering experience, including 6+ years in a senior/leadership role.
-Proficiency in Civil 3D, CAD, and engineering software.
-Strong project management, leadership, communication, and technical writing skills.
-Public infrastructure experience preferred.
-Ability to independently manage projects.
