LAN Administrator

Trillium Professional is seeking an experienced LAN Administrator to support our long-term client.

This position will be responsible for the administration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and support of a large-scale enterprise LAN/WAN environment. Pay rate is $54/hour.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Cisco networking technologies, enterprise routing and switching, network security, and network troubleshooting. This is a hands-on role supporting a highly distributed environment with 2,000+ network devices.

Responsibilities
-Administer, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise LAN/WAN infrastructure.
-Support a large-scale network environment consisting of 2,000+ network devices.
-Configure and troubleshoot Cisco routing and switching technologies.
-Support Cisco SD-WAN, Cisco ACI, Meraki Wi-Fi, and Cisco ISE.
-Troubleshoot advanced routing protocols including OSPF, BGP, and OMP.
-Support Cisco-based DMVPN environments.
-Perform network packet analysis and troubleshoot complex connectivity issues.
-Monitor network performance using network analytics and NetFlow.
-Support firewall administration, intrusion prevention, event analysis, and network security.
-Provide technical support to employees, customers, and court personnel via phone, email, and face-to-face interaction.
-Maintain accurate documentation for network configurations, installations, administration, and maintenance.
-Track incidents, work orders, projects, and maintenance activities using enterprise ticketing systems such as ServiceNow or Jira.
-Perform scheduled and unscheduled after-hours maintenance as required.
-Serve as an escalation point for Engineers, Consultants, Management, and courts providing state services.
-Communicate technical issues and solutions effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
-Provide status updates and technical information to management and senior personnel.
-Assist with field installations and network-related projects as needed.

Required Qualifications
-5+ years of hands-on enterprise LAN/network administration experience.
-Strong enterprise routing and switching experience.
-Demonstrated hands-on Cisco networking experience.
-Strong understanding of networking and security concepts.
-Experience with advanced switching environments such as Cisco Nexus, IOS, IOS-XE, and/or ACI.
-Experience with routing protocols such as OSPF, BGP, and OMP.
-Strong troubleshooting and network problem-solving skills.
-Ability to work independently and function as a self-starter.
-Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
-Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users and management.
-Flexibility to work or be contacted during off-hours when required.

Preferred Qualifications
-CCNA or CCNP (Enterprise) certification.
-Experience with Cisco SD-WAN, Cisco ACI, and DMVPN.
-Experience with Meraki Wi-Fi and Cisco ISE.
-Experience with NetFlow and network analytics; Stealthwatch experience is a plus.
-Experience with network packet analysis.
-Experience with firewall administration and intrusion prevention.
-Experience with ServiceNow and/or Jira.
-Experience supporting large, distributed enterprise environments.
-Ability to travel periodically for field installations and support, generally 5–10% as needed.
