Pipe Welder - Per Diem Offered
Trillium Construction is now seeking experienced Journeyman TIG Pipe Welders for a major shutdown project at a Woodgrain facility in Towanda, PA, starting October 1st through October 31st.
Welders will be responsible for TIG welding 1/4” Schedule 80 steam piping and must be capable of consistently producing high-quality welds to meet the client’s standards. There will be no weld test for this position, so candidates must have a proven track record of quality TIG pipe welding and be able to demonstrate the required skill level on the job. In addition to welding responsibilities, the client is looking for versatile welders who can assist with mechanical work when needed, so candidates with millwright/mechanical experience and the ability to assist with equipment installation, removal, rigging, bolt-up, or other mechanical duties will be highly preferred. This is a heavy industrial shutdown environment, and candidates should be comfortable working alongside millwrights and other skilled trades to complete the project safely and efficiently.
This is a full shutdown schedule of 7 days per week, 12 hours per day, with both day and night shifts available: 7:00 AM–7:00 PM or 7:00 PM–7:00 AM. Pay is $40–$42/hour, depending on experience and qualifications, with $194/day per diem paid all 7 days of the week. Travel pay is available at $0.60 per mile, capped at $800 one way (travel in and out). Candidates must be able to commit to the entire shutdown from October 1st through October 31st and be available to work the full 7-day, 12-hour schedule without planned time off during the project.
