Application Developer
Trillium Professional is now seeking Application Developer in Oklahoma City!
Pay rate is $70/hour. This is a remote position with occasional in-person attendance may be required for meetings or project activities. Candidates should be able to accommodate project meetings and collaboration during standard business hours.
In-person attendance potentially required for some on-site meetings. Please note that TRS will not reimburse travel expenses for contractors, so any applicable travel expenses must be included as part of the contract payment.
This is a long-term application development opportunity supporting a multi-year modernization program. We are seeking Application Developers to join a multi-year application modernization initiative focused on replacing legacy systems with a modern, cloud-based technology environment.
The developers will be responsible for designing, developing, enhancing, testing, documenting, and maintaining modern applications and integrations. The role will work closely with business analysts, technical teams, testers, project managers, and other stakeholders to deliver secure, reliable, and maintainable software.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience with C#, .NET, Web API, Angular 16+, SQL, Azure DevOps, and Git, along with a solid understanding of modern software development practices and Agile methodologies.
Key Responsibilities
Application Development
-Design, develop, enhance, and maintain application components based on functional and technical requirements.
-Develop maintainable, scalable, secure, and production-ready software.
-Write clean, efficient, and well-structured code using C# and .NET.
-Develop and maintain web applications using Angular 16+.
-Develop RESTful APIs and system integrations using Web API.
-Develop database queries, procedures, and application integrations using SQL.
-Build application interfaces, integrations, and automation workflows.
-Translate technical specifications and business requirements into working software.
-Participate in application modernization and legacy system replacement activities.
Software Development Lifecycle
-Follow established SDLC processes and development standards.
-Work within Agile development methodologies and established project processes.
-Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives as required.
-Work with business analysts and product owners to understand requirements and user stories.
-Help refine requirements, acceptance criteria, technical specifications, and implementation approaches.
-Maintain development tasks and work items in Azure DevOps.
Testing & Quality
-Develop and execute unit tests to validate application functionality.
-Identify and resolve defects and technical issues.
-Perform code reviews and participate in peer review activities.
-Create and maintain technical and application documentation.
-Submit pull requests for review and approval.
-Ensure code meets established quality, security, performance, and maintainability standards.
-Deliver high-quality software with minimal defects.
APIs & Integrations
-Design and develop RESTful APIs and system interfaces.
-Integrate applications with internal and external systems.
-Develop workflows and automation to improve business processes.
-Analyze existing integration points and dependencies within legacy and modernized systems.
-Support troubleshooting and resolution of integration and application issues.
Collaboration
-Work closely with business analysts, testers, project managers, technical staff, and other developers.
-Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and technical constraints.
-Translate complex technical concepts into clear explanations for technical and non-technical audiences.
-Participate in technical discussions and contribute to application architecture and design decisions.
-Manage multiple development tasks while meeting established project timelines.

Required Qualifications

-Experience working with Azure DevOps or similar development lifecycle tools.
-Understanding of application architecture, integration points, and system dependencies.
-Ability to translate functional and technical requirements into production-ready software.
-Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
-Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
-Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet established deadlines.
Education & Experience
-A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems (MIS), or a related field with 3–5 years of relevant development experience is preferred.
-An equivalent combination of education, training, and professional experience may be considered.
-Candidates with 5–7 years of relevant application development experience are strongly encouraged to apply.
Preferred Experience
-Experience with Microsoft Azure and Azure-hosted applications.
-Experience modernizing or replacing legacy applications.
-Experience working with legacy system architectures, dependencies, and integrations.
-Experience with enterprise application development.
-Experience working in Agile development environments.
-Experience with automated testing and CI/CD practices.
-Experience developing secure and scalable cloud-based applications.
-Experience working with complex business rules and highly regulated or business-critical systems.
