Maintenance Helper

We are seeking Maintenance Helpers for our client company in Warren, MI! 1st Shift opportunities!

Shift is 1st, 6:00-4:00PM.
•    Standard schedule: Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM - 4:00 PM
•    Every other Saturday (6-hour shift) is required.
•    Overtime is expected based on production and maintenance needs.
•    Candidates seeking additional hours will typically have consistent overtime opportunities, with shifts that may extend up to 12 hours per day when needed.

Pay:
•    $25.00 - 28.00 per hour, based on experience.
•    Contract-to-hire opportunity with long-term career potential and opportunity to have a hand in building out newer maintenance department.

This role is designed for someone looking to build a long-term career in maintenance. You will receive hands-on training from an experienced Maintenance Manager and have the opportunity to grow your technical skills while helping build the maintenance department as the company continues to expand. Candidates who demonstrate reliability, initiative, and a willingness to learn will have opportunities for increased responsibility and career advancement.

We are seeking a motivated, mechanically inclined Entry-Level Maintenance Technician who is eager to learn and build a career in industrial maintenance. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with their hands, solving mechanical problems, and wants to grow with a company that is building its maintenance department from the ground up.

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will work alongside a small maintenance team (2-4 people) and receive hands-on training in equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and facility repairs. The ideal candidate is dependable, flexible, works well with others, and has a strong desire to learn.

Key Responsibilities
•    Assist with the maintenance/repair of production equipment and facility systems.
•    Learn preventive maintenance procedures and help complete scheduled maintenance tasks.
•    Support troubleshooting of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical equipment under the guidance of the Maintenance Manager.
•    Perform basic repairs, equipment inspections, and general maintenance duties.
•    Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
•    Assist with equipment installations, facility improvements, and special maintenance projects.
•    Properly use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.
•    Accurately complete work orders and maintenance documentation.
•    Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
•    Work collaboratively with production and maintenance team members to minimize equipment downtime.

Qualifications
•    Mechanically inclined with an interest in learning industrial maintenance.
•    Previous experience using hand tools, power tools, automotive repair, construction, maintenance, or similar mechanical work is preferred but not required.
•    Strong work ethic and willingness to learn new skills.
•    Dependable with excellent attendance and punctuality.
•    Positive attitude and ability to work well in a team environment.
•    Ability to follow directions while also taking initiative.
•    Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
•    Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical work including bending, climbing, and standing for extended periods.
