Electrical Technician - Per Diem Offered

Trillium Construction is now seeking Electrical Technicians in Newport News, VA!

Electrical/electronic technicians are needed for installation, termination, troubleshooting, and maintenance work.

Job Duties:
-Perform installation, termination, troubleshooting maintenance of machinery control consoles, switchboards, and controls.
-Perform installation of electrical cable terminations at a minimum to include the following types: straight through joints, branch which can be a Y or T, Pot ends, indoor/outdoor terminations.
-Read mechanical drawings (Parts and Assemblies) and to do mechanical work, busbar installation (switchboards).
-Identify existing drawings for modification and/or identification of new drawings.
-Read schematics and ability to run and connect wires/harness to different instruments.

Pay rate is $38/hour and per diem is $150 days worked. Schedule is M-F, working 50+ hours per week for a 2 month project.

-The ability to interpret tech manuals for troubleshooting and installation.
-The ability to read and interpret marine and industrial electrical one-line drawings and schematics.
-Ability to install electrical components on back panels, doors.
-Previous fabrication and production work in shop environment preferred.
