Paint Prep Technician

Trillium Staffing is hiring for an Industrial Paint Prep associate in Bridgman, MI!

The Industrial Paint Prep associate will clean and prepare chassis and fixtures for painting, using air- powered sandblasting and other tools and equipment.

Essential Duties:
-Perform paint prep duties using air-powered equipment, grinder, needle-guns and other hand tools
-Abrade surfaces of the metal
-Inspects items to be painted for proper welds
-Mark all mis-welds and any other quality deviations found
-Disassemble paint and sandblasting equipment and clean equipment 
-Operate and use related equipment and tool (forklifts, hoists, slings, grinders, hand tools, & tape measure)
-Read, understand, and follow job order specifications, blueprints, work instructions and procedures
-Maintain a safe and clean working environment

Hours are 6 am - 2:30 pm, currently working 10 hours per day. There will be some Saturdays, 6 am to 11:30 am. Pay Rate: $19.00 an hour.

Qualifications:
-Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure
-High School diploma or GED required
-Relevant and recent working experience in the industrial paint environment preferred
-Ability to pass pre-employment screenings.
