Maintenance Mechanic

Trillium Staffing is now seeking Maintenance Mechanics for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Lawrence, MA!

Pay rate is $28.35 - 42.00 (based on experience). This is a 1st shift position!

Essential Functions:
•    Ensures the operation of production equipment and machinery as well as temperature and humidity-controlled equipment by following operations manuals and manufacturer’s instructions 
•    Facilitate operation, maintenance and repair of purified/RODI water systems
•    Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments. 
•    Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges.
•    Removes defective parts by dismantling devices using hand and power tools; examining form and determine cause and effect.  Follow LO/TO procedures as needed.
•    Controls downtime by informing Charm employees of routine preventive maintenance techniques and repairs in process and expected time of completion
•    Able to navigate and manage preventative work order system
•    Maintains a working cell phone in order to ensure consistent communication during regular working hours, unless a device is provided by the company.
•    Snow removal and/or property maintenance may be required.

Accountabilities:
-Maintains building and site equipment to ensure day to day operations
-Monitor and anticipate equipment parts and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level.  Place necessary orders, verifying lead time and delivery status
-Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
-Maintains teamwork by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and the continuing needs of the facilities
-Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing technical publications and establishing personal networks in-house as well as with vendors.
-Responds to security/alarms when required or when on-call and within an anticipated time frame.  Communicate with the maintenance team once resolved

Required:
-High School Diploma or equivalent
-Minimum 5 years of experience in the field or trade school/vocational training
-Mechanical, electrical and plumbing troubleshooting skills.
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills
-Must posse a valid driver’s license due to on call assignments and travel between facilities.
-Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Preferred:
-Knowledge of OSHA Safety Rules
-Familiar with Lock Out/Tag Out Procedures
-Skilled with Microsoft Office and Outlook
-Excellent attention to detail and mullet-tasking skills
