Manufacturing Engineer
Trillium seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to join a high-precision Industrial Gas Turbine and Aerospace machining firm in Bloomingdale!
This direct hire position reports directly to the Director of Engineering and plays a hands-on role in developing, optimizing, and qualifying machining processes for turbine blades and vanes used by major global OEMs and military programs. Working with advanced CNC, EDM, creep feed, and 5-axis CBN grinding technologies, you’ll drive new product development, process improvement, and production excellence in a high-precision environment.
Responsibilities:
• Lead development and optimization of machining processes for complex turbine components using EDM, CNC milling, and 3- to 5-axis grinding, while defining machining strategies, tooling, and parameters that improve quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
• Serve as the primary customer engineering contact for technical communication, change requests, and legacy product restarts, while partnering with Quality, Operations, and Tooling teams on audits, AS9100/FAI documentation, and robust manufacturing solutions.
• Drive root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce scrap, increase throughput, and ensure stable, repeatable production processes.
• Utilize Mastercam, SolidWorks, and related CAD/CAM tools for programming, verification, and operator training, ensuring accurate, efficient, and well-documented machining workflows.
• Mentor junior engineers while maintaining a strong hands-on presence on the shop floor.
Salary range is $110-120,000+ depending on experience.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• 5–10 years of manufacturing engineering experience with proven expertise in Creep Feed Grinding
