Construction Project Manager
Trillium Construction is hiring for a Project Manager for our client in Wisconsin Rapids, WI.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced construction professional to lead commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout while ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Annual salary is $80-120k/year, depending on experience!
The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. This role ensures projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards while maintaining strong relationships with owners, architects, subcontractors, and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
Preconstruction & Estimating
-Review plans, specifications, and construction documents.
-Coordinate design development, permitting, and approvals.
-Develop bid packages and manage the subcontractor bidding process.
-Prepare quantity takeoffs, cost estimates, and project proposals.
-Evaluate subcontractor qualifications and material pricing.
-Present proposals to clients when required.
Project Management
-Develop and maintain project schedules in collaboration with the Superintendent.
-Conduct project meetings and distribute meeting minutes.
-Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and requests for proposals (RFPs).
-Coordinate procurement and delivery of materials and equipment.
-Monitor project progress, quality, productivity, and budget.
-Visit jobsites regularly to ensure work is completed safely and according to project specifications.
-Maintain clear communication with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and project stakeholders.
Cost Control
-Maintain accurate job cost tracking and forecasting.
-Manage subcontract agreements, purchase orders, and change orders.
-Prepare owner billing schedules and approve subcontractor pay applications.
-Monitor project profitability and identify potential cost impacts early.
Safety & Quality
-Promote a culture of safety and ensure compliance with company policies, OSHA regulations, and owner requirements.
-Support Superintendents in enforcing safety standards and conducting safety meetings.
-Ensure all work meets company quality standards while minimizing punch list items and rework.
Project Closeout
-Manage punch list completion and project closeout documentation.
-Coordinate warranties, owner manuals, and final project documentation.
-Obtain final completion certificates and owner acceptance.
-Assist in securing client references and repeat business opportunities.
Business Development
-Support business development initiatives through networking, client meetings, estimating, and proposal preparation.
-Participate in industry events and maintain strong client relationships.

Qualifications
-High School Diploma or GED.
-Minimum 5 years of Project Management experience with a commercial general contractor.
-Valid Wisconsin Driver’s License with proof of insurance.
-Ability to travel within a 100-mile radius.
-Obtain First Aid/CPR, Forklift Certification, and OSHA 10 certification within the first year of employment.
Preferred
-Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a related field.
-Five or more years of field construction experience.
-Desired Skills
-Strong understanding of commercial construction methods, estimating, scheduling, and cost control.
-Experience managing subcontractors and contract administration.
-Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and construction best practices.
-Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office, Procore, Bluebeam, and AutoCAD.
-Excellent leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
-Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail and delivering exceptional customer service.
Physical Requirements
-Combination of office and active jobsite work.
-Ability to sit, stand, walk, climb, kneel, crouch, and occasionally lift up to 75 pounds.
-Ability to work in varying weather conditions and active construction environments.
