Ironworker

Trillium Construction is seeking experienced Ironworkers in Jacksonville, FL for a shipyard project.

Work starts ASAP and will last for approximately 8+ weeks. Pay rate is $32/hr. Schedule is Mon-Fri, with occasional Saturdays/Sundays, 60+ hrs/week.

Scope of Work:
-Erecting, fitting, aligning, and installing misc. structural steel components around the shipyard
-Reading and interpreting blueprints, structural drawings, and welding symbols
-Laying out, measuring, cutting, fitting, and fabricating steel components
-Performing structural welding as needed using a variety of welding processes
-Operating torches, grinders, and other ironworking tools
-Working safely at heights, in confined spaces, and alongside other trades in a shipyard environment

Requirements:
-Must have a valid Birth Certificate and Driver’s License.
-4+ years of ironworking experience in a shipyard or heavy industrial environment
-Strong structural fitting and fabrication skills
-Proficient in all aspects of welding, including Stick (SMAW), MIG (GMAW), Flux Core (FCAW), and oxy-fuel cutting
-Ability to read blueprints, structural drawings, and welding symbols
-Reliable transportation and ability to work 60+ hours per week, including weekends as needed
