Site Safety & Health Officer

Trillium Construction is now seeking an experienced Site Safety & Health Officer (SSHO) to oversee safety compliance on federal civil construction projects.

This role is responsible for implementing site safety programs, ensuring OSHA and EM 385-1-1 compliance, conducting inspections, leading safety meetings, and maintaining all required documentation.

Responsibilities:
-Manage site safety programs and ensure OSHA & EM 385-1-1 compliance
-Prepare and maintain Accident Prevention Plans (APP) and Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs)
-Conduct daily safety inspections and toolbox talks
-Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions
-Coordinate with project teams, subcontractors, and government safety representatives
-Maintain safety records, training documentation, and compliance reports

Qualifications:
-High school diploma or GED
-5+ years as an SSHO on federal civil construction projects
-OSHA 30, EM 385-1-1, First Aid/CPR/BBP, and 40-hour HAZWOPER certifications
-Minimum 24 hours of safety training within the last 3 years
-Knowledge of USACE/NAVFAC safety requirements
-Valid driver’s license, REAL ID, and ability to travel
