Senior SQL Database Administrator
Trillium Professional is now seeking a Senior SQL Database Administrator for a remote, direct-hire position!
The Senior SQL Database Administrator will support mission-critical enterprise applications and databases within a complex multi-site environment. This role will be responsible for database administration, performance optimization, backup and recovery, security, and overall database health.
The ideal candidate will possess extensive Microsoft SQL Server experience and a strong understanding of database architecture, high availability, disaster recovery, and performance tuning.
Key Responsibilities
• Administer, maintain, and monitor Microsoft SQL Server environments
• Perform database performance tuning, optimization, and troubleshooting
• Design and maintain backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes
• Implement and support database security and access controls
• Support database upgrades, migrations, patching, and maintenance activities
• Monitor database availability and performance metrics
• Work closely with application and infrastructure teams to support business-critical systems
• Develop and maintain database documentation, standards, and procedures
• Support high-availability and failover environments
• Troubleshoot and resolve production database issues
• Participate in capacity planning and future database architecture initiatives

Required Qualifications
• 5+ years of Microsoft SQL Server administration experience
• Strong SQL Server performance tuning and optimization experience
• Experience with SQL Server backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning
• Strong T-SQL skills
• Experience supporting enterprise production environments
• Experience with SQL Server security and permissions management
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
Preferred Qualifications
• Healthcare industry experience
• Experience with SQL Server clustering and high-availability solutions
• Experience with Azure SQL and cloud-based database platforms
• SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) experience
• PowerShell scripting experience
• Experience supporting reporting and business intelligence platforms
• Experience with enterprise monitoring tools
