Shipping Clerk

Trillium Staffing is now seeking a Shipping Clerk in Madison Heights, MI!

Shipping Clerk completes day to day operational functions of order fulfillment (pick, package, and ship). Pay rate is $19/hour.

Essential Job Functions:
-Assembles and checks shipments; ensures customer specific packaging requirements are met; determines shipping weight; prepares bills of lading, shipping manifest and schedules; contacts carriers and assumes responsibility for accurate shipping data. 
-Prepares and submits customs paperwork to customs broker and monitors process to receipt of manifest
-Secures and closes warehouse at end of day
-Stacks, rearranges, loads, unloads, and wraps pallets
-Confirms arrival/departure of trailers/carriers. Releases trailers/carriers
-Serves as back up to order filler 
-Generates deliver lists for sales delivers using mobile POD
-Participates in team meetings
-Maintains a safe, clean, and organized work environment and operates within OSHA/MIOSHA guidelines
-Operates forklift/heavy machinery, material handling equipment, and packaging equipment
-Inspects warehouse equipment to ensure it is functioning properly and in good condition
-Other duties as assigned

Must have:
-High School Diploma/GED
-1-2 years of solid recent forklift experience
-Valid Driver’s License
-Ability to obtain Forklift License upon start 
-Must have Strong Computer Skills; ERP/WorldShip experience preferred
