Earn $27-$36/Hour - First Shift - Spartanburg, SC. Are you a highly skilled diesel technician who thrives on solving complex mechanical and electrical problems? Join a growing operation supporting the production, testing, maintenance, and quality assurance of commercial vehicle platforms, including both traditional and emerging vehicle technologies.

This is an excellent opportunity for technicians who enjoy advanced diagnostics, hands-on troubleshooting, and working with sophisticated vehicle systems in a fast-paced manufacturing and service environment.

Compensation & Schedule
-Pay: $27.00 - 36.00 per hour (based on experience and technical ability)
-Shift: First Shift, Monday-Friday
-Hours: 6:00 AM - 3:00 PM
-Contract to Hire: Opportunity for long-term career growth and technical development

What You’ll Do
As an Advanced Diesel Mechanic, you’ll be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, inspecting, and maintaining medium- and heavy-duty vehicle systems while ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and performance.

Key Responsibilities
-Diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, electronic, and instrumentation-related issues
-Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, rebuilds, and component replacements on medium- and heavy-duty vehicles
-Repair and install wiring harnesses, cables, connectors, and electrical assemblies
-Utilize diagnostic software and electronic testing equipment to identify and resolve system faults
-Troubleshoot vehicle systems including:
-Diesel powertrain systems
-Electrical and electronic controls
-Safety and driver-assistance systems
-Suspension and steering systems
-Cab and interior systems
-Charging and auxiliary systems
-Repair or rebuild components including motors, starters, drives, transformers, and related equipment
-Interpret maintenance manuals, technical documents, engineering drawings, and work instructions
-Perform detailed inspections using visual, functional, and precision measurement methods
-Document repairs, inspections, and findings accurately within internal systems
-Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in compliance with safety and quality standards
-Support continuous improvement initiatives and evolving operational requirements

What We’re Looking For
Required Qualifications
-2+ years of diesel mechanic, heavy equipment, fleet maintenance, or commercial vehicle repair experience
-Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
-Experience with diesel engine systems, electrical systems, and preventative maintenance programs
-Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
-Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
-Commitment to safety, quality, and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications
-Technical certificate or vocational training in diesel technology, automotive technology, or related field
-Experience performing advanced electrical diagnostics
-Familiarity with measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
-Ability to read engineering drawings, schematics, and technical specifications
-Previous quality inspection or manufacturing support experience
-Experience working with diagnostic software and computerized testing equipment
-Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
