Purchasing Assistant

Great Direct Hire opportunity an experienced Purchasing Assistant to join an established and growing manufacturer in Delaware, OH!

The Purchasing Assistant will be creating Purchase Orders, monitoring open POs, following up with suppliers for delivery, cost, quality and similar. The Purchasing Assistant may research and select new suppliers. Other duties include monitoring inventory levels, working closely with production and warehouse teams to ensure material is available, documenting purchasing records, supplier data and related. This position will be 70% in office and 30% on the production floor and warehouse - very hands on with the production team!

Schedule is 1st shift, Mon-Fri. Compensation will be between $60-$70k with benefits.

To be successful in this role the Purchasing Assistant will have:
-Bachelor degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering or similar required
-1-3 years experience in a similar role, preferably in manufacturing
-Recent graduates may be considered with some internship or co-op experience
-Proficient in ERP/MRP and MS Excel
-Exposure to automotive manufacturing is a plus
