Autonomous Vehicle Operator

Trillium Drivers is now seeking Autonomous Vehicle Test Operators in Detroit, MI for direct-hire opportunities!

Pay rate is $19-$25/hr. Pay is based off Shift Differential and Attendance Incentives. This is a 7-day operation with start times available at 4PM, 8PM, or 12AM, working 8 hours per shift.

Position Overview:
-Monitoring autonomous vehicle systems during operation. 
-Operating vehicles on test and public road routes when required. 
-Supervising AV system behavior and maintaining safety oversight. 
-Capturing software logs and submitting detailed reports. 
-Maintaining strict safety standards at all times. 

Requirements:
-Minimum 21 years old. 
-Valid Driver’s License. 
-Strong observation and communication skills. 
-Comfortable using technology. This includes: Google Workspace, Smartphones, and Touchscreen technology. 
-Physically capable of extended periods of sitting/driving, standing/walking when needed, and lifting up to 45 pounds. 
-Must be self-directed, self-motivated, confident, and decisive. 

Miscellaneous: 
-Must be willing to attend a 3-week training program in Washington DC.
-Travel, Hotel Accommodations, and Meals are covered. $60 per day per diem will be provided for lunch and dinner.
-Benefits Package: Medical and Vision Insurance, 5 PTO days earned after 90 days, and Paid Training.

-Clean Background.
-Ability to Pass Pre-Employment Screenings. This includes a 5-Panel Drug Screen that will test for Marijuana. 
-Must be willing to travel for paid training.
