Material Handler

Trillium Drivers is now seeking Material Handlers for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Missouri City, TX!

Duties:
-Safely and efficiently move raw and/or finished products throughout the plant.
-Assure that all appropriate documentation associated with movement of product/materials is complete and accurate.
-Perform tasks including production work given by Plant Manager, Material handling supervisor, and/or Manufacturing Supervisors.

Essential Functions:
-Working from computer generated work list, moves product and materials throughout the plant.
-Ensures safe material handling and operation of forklift
-Transports raw and other materials to machine operators, and in-process material to other departments as needed
-Helps in other areas requiring forklift operation as required
-Assists in unloading raw materials received from vendors and in loading finished product into semi-trailers for transport to customers as needed.
-Maintains good housekeeping standards.
-Ensures parts are in appropriate place in racks

Primary Responsibilities 
-Identifies and transports requested materials to and from various locations including machines, loading docks, railroad cars, trucks, and storage areas.
-Obtains production schedule and/or shipping orders and then identifies, verifies, and transports requested raw materials, equipment, or processing materials accordingly.
-Uses protective materials and strapping equipment to protect and secure loads; once delivered, removes strapping and wrapping, then safely disposes of waste materials in designated containers or areas.
-Manages and piles drums, skids, pallets, and other supplies in specified areas.
-Services equipment as needed, reporting mechanical or electrical difficulties to truck mechanic.

Schedule is Monday-Friday with some weekends. Pay rate is $14/hour plus OT.

Requirements
-Must be physically capable of lifting 50 lbs.
-High school diploma or equivalent
-Previous manufacturing experience preferred
-1 year of previous production experience in Forklift driving and/or material handling
