Machine Operator

Trillium Staffing is seeking a full time Endforming Machine Operator to operate endforming machines used in the production of automotive components.

The ideal candidate will ensure parts meet quality specifications, safety standards, and production targets in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position is 2nd shift 2:30pm-11pm, $15/hr, and overtime can be expected.

Key Responsibilities
-Operate end-forming machines to shape, expand, reduce, flare, bead, or form metal tubing and automotive components.
-Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions.
-Set up tooling, dies, fixtures, and machine parameters according to production requirements.
-Inspect finished parts using calipers, gauges, micrometers, and other measuring tools.
-Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency.
-Troubleshoot minor equipment issues.
-Follow ISO, IATF, and automotive quality standards.
-Maintain accurate production and quality records.
-Ensure compliance with workplace safety procedures and PPE requirements.
-Collaborate with quality, maintenance, and production teams to resolve manufacturing issues.

Qualifications
-High school diploma or GED required.
-Experience in automotive manufacturing or metal forming preferred.
-Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, or CNC endforming equipment preferred.
-Ability to read technical drawings and use precision measuring instruments preferred.
-Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
-Ability to work in a team-oriented manufacturing environment.
-Forklift or crane experience is a plus.

Preferred Skills
-Experience with tube fabrication and metal forming processes.
-Understanding of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices.
-Familiarity with automotive quality systems such as IATF 16949.
-Basic computer and production reporting skills.

Physical Requirements
-Frequently lift up to 50 lbs.

Work Environment
-Automotive manufacturing plant or metal fabrication facility.
-May require shift work, overtime, and weekend availability.
