Trailer Repair Technician
Trillium Staffing is now seeking a Trailer Repair Technician in Syracuse, NY!
Pay: $23.00 – $32.00/hour (based on experience).
We are seeking a skilled Trailer Repair Technician to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on experience in trailer, truck, or heavy equipment repair who takes pride in delivering high-quality work and ensuring equipment meets safety and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities
-Repair or replace trailer panels, roofs, nose panels, and rails
-Straighten bent frames using frame racks
-Repair or replace trailer doors and flooring
-Perform MIG (wire feed) welding, cutting, and metal fabrication
-Repair landing gear, dolly legs, axles, and spring hangers
-Conduct brake repairs/replacements and airbag replacements
-Install lighting systems, power units, and liftgates
-Ensure all work meets DOT, OSHA, and company safety standards

Requirements
-1–3+ years of experience in trailer, truck, or heavy equipment body repair
-Proficiency in MIG/wire feed welding and use of cutting torches
-Ability to lift 60+ pounds and work in physically demanding positions
-Must have your own set of hand tools
-Valid driver’s license required
-NY State Inspection License required
Qualifications
-High school diploma or equivalent
-Strong knowledge of structural metal fabrication
