Mechanical Field Service Engineer

Immediate openings for an experienced Mechanical Field Service Engineer with this global manufacturing innovator in Columbus!

The Mechanical Field Service Engineer will provide hands-on field support for custom automation equipment. This will involve troubleshooting and customer interaction. 

Mechanical Field Service Engineer will work hands-on at customer sites and at company site. This will require travel to domestic and international locations. 

Activities include:
-Install, Service, Troubleshoot and Repair Mechanical systems and custom automation equipment.
-Diagnose mechanical failures, identify root causes and implement corrective actions, perform adjustments, repairs and retrofits, provide technical guidance and instruction to customers, complete detailed service reports, perform engineering calculations, analyze engineering drawings and specs, produce and revise detail drawings using AutoCAD and Solidworks, specify replacement components and similar.  

This position may be contract to hire or direct hire. Pay is $80-$110k annually depending on experience plus10% shift premium for travel. This is an on-site role in Polaris area of Columbus when not traveling.

To be qualified for this role, the Mechanical Field Service Engineer will have:
-4+ yrs hands-on experience supporting, servicing, troubleshooting mechanical automation equipment, industrial systems and custom machinery
-Ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical system issues in the field
-Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical documentation and similar
-Willingness to travel 50-60% annually domestically and internationally
