Mechanical Assistant

Trillium Staffing is currently seeking 1st & 2nd shift Mechanical Assistants for a Direct Hire opportunity with a leading manufacturer in the Sturgeon Bay area.

This Mechanical Assistant role supports Mechanical Assemblers in building large-scale, custom-engineered equipment used in marine and industrial applications, with a clear path to grow into a Mechanical Assembler role.

Mechanical Assistant Responsibilities
-Complete entry-level assembly work and prep parts, wires, hoses, and hydraulics
-Assist with building subassemblies for large equipment
-Support installation of engines, pumps, tires, conduit, and hydraulic systems
-Train alongside Mechanical Assemblers to develop mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic skills
-Lift, move, and stack completed subassemblies and parts
-Operate overhead and jib cranes to position materials
-Support additional duties as assigned

Schedules:
-1st Shift: Monday–Thursday | 6:00AM–3:00PM; Friday 6:00AM–12:00PM
-2nd Shift: Monday–Thursday | 2:30PM–1:00AM (3-Day Weekend)

Mechanical Assistant Qualifications
-Basic mechanical knowledge or strong mechanical aptitude
-Willingness to learn blueprint reading
-Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
