Industrial Automation Systems Engineer
Immediate opening for an experienced Systems Engineer with this global manufacturing innovator in Columbus!
The Systems Engineer will manage the technical aspects of projects and oversee engineering requirements. The Systems Engineer will work with the project manager, clients and multi-disciplinary engineer team to create and validate system requirements. This role will be the SME for customer processes and industrial automation systems.
Activities include: Participate in design reviews, provide technical oversight, coordinate project work, manage third party vendors, conduct acceptance tests, assist in design and development of systems, learn customer processes to support design, prepare system-s level calculations (ex. kinematics, process capability, Cycle-time, Metrology, etc.), prepare, compile and document design reqs, evaluate design outputs, machine system performance, Safety Risk Asssements, creat technical specs, coordinate project deliverables and similar.
We are seeking and Intermediate experience level for this Systems Engineering role.
Compensation will be between $90-$110k with strong benefits and opportunity for growth. One-site role in Polaris area of Columbus.

To be qualified for this role, the Systems Engineer will have:
-3+ yrs mechanical, electrical, controls of systems engineering support in an automation environment
-History of customer interface for project coordination
-Degree in Systems Design, Engineering Science, Mechatronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or similar.
-Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes to include robotics, machine controls and automation.
-Strong communication, project management and leadership capabilities
-Background leading/coordinating multi-disciplinary project teams
-Must be eligible to work in the United States and sponsorship is not available for this position
