Heavy Equipment Operator
Trillium Construction is seeking an Finish Blade Operator with GPS experience near Fargo, ND. This job requires the operation of one or more types of heavy power equipment such as bobcat, dozer, front-end loader, motor grader, scraper, skid steer and other pieces of equipment used in road, parking lot, city streets or highway construction. Responsible for the efficient working condition of the equipment and is expected to perform minor servicing. Takes instruction from Foreman and assists with groundwork if required.
Key Responsibilities:
-Operate the blade/motor grader to perform dirt work/subgrade prep and/or finish grade work.
-Responsible for the efficient working condition of the blade and is expected to perform maintenance and minor servicing.
-Takes instruction from Superintendent/Foreman and assists with groundwork when required. The highest quality of workmanship is expected in assigned paving projects while working in a safe, productive and professional manner.
-Complete daily visual and safety inspection of the blade to ensure safe operation.
-Understand and perform start-up and shutdown process of the blade.
-Operate blade/motor grader to make successive passes over working area to spread, level and grade gravel base or shouldering material, shape and finish slopes and shoulders.
Pay: $57.30
Per Diem: $400 / week
Schedule: Mon - Sun, 60h+ / week
Qualifications:
-3+ years of heavy equipment operator experience
-1+ year of GPS experience
-Ability to read, write, and speak English and to perform simple mathematical calculations.
-Ability to drive and operate the equipment under varying work conditions and the ability to do some manual labor requiring periods of extensive physical exertion and potential exposure to adverse weather conditions.
-Ability to learn, understand and carry out written and oral instructions and abide by Company policies and safety rules.
-Ability to work well with others in a team environment and willingness to learn and take direction.
-Ability and willingness to travel for extended periods of time and work long hours to perform the job duties.
-Possession of or ability to obtain a valid driver’s license.
-OSHA 10 certification
-Ability to pass pre-employment screenings
