CNC Machinist
CNC Technician position available in the Eaton Rapids, Michigan area working at our client location who is a leading manufacturer.
This is a direct hire opportunity with a pay range of $22–$23/hr. Day shift position starting at 6:30 a.m. 8 hour shift with OT available.
This role will support production within the engineering team by improving casting processes, reducing scrap/downtime, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities for the CNC Technician role:
-Set up machines and perform tool changes
-Troubleshoot, maintain, and optimize CNC equipment
-Improve part quality, machine uptime, and tool life
-Support production with technical expertise across departments
-Assist with process development, documentation, and training
-Monitor and analyze process data to reduce costs and increase efficiency
-Ensure production meets quality standards and schedules
-Maintain safe, clean work environment and follow safety policies

Qualifications for the CNC Technician role:
-5+ years CNC machining and maintenance experience preferred
-Associates degree
-Strong knowledge of machining processes, tooling, and process controls
-Ability to identify defects, scrap, and downtime issues
-Familiarity with GD&T, statistical methods, and process improvement
-CAD/CAM or AutoCAD and basic computer skills (Excel) a plus
-Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
-Flexible with shifts/rotations
-Ability to stand, lift (up to 50 lbs), and operate equipment (e.g., forklift)
