Metal Finisher
Trillium Staffing is now seeking Metal Finishers in Chandler, AZ!
The Metal Finisher is responsible for setting up, operating, and assisting with various finishing operations on aluminum products. This includes Heat treating, stretching, sawing, inspecting, packing, and weighing materials to meet production specifications and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Material Handling & Preparation
• Stretch, pre-roll, roll-straighten, and contour aluminum products.
• Shear metal to rough cut length for subsequent operations.
• Prepare aluminum products for heat treatment.
• Drain and refill lubricant tanks; change saw blades.
Machine Operation
• Operate equipment including stretchers, saws, Pallet jack, hoist.
• Install and change jaw grips.
• Use tail stock controls and transfer equipment.
• Clean saw chip collection systems and perform basic equipment maintenance.
Inspection & Quality Control
• Inspect final products for specification compliance.
• Check product dimensions and quality throughout the process.
Packing & Documentation
• Prepare containers and materials for packing.
• Pack and weigh finished products.
• Maintain production records, charts, and required documentation.
Maintenance & Support
• Perform limited maintenance tasks (e.g., tightening bolts, changing rollers, lubrication).
• Assist with painting and general upkeep of equipment and work area.
Materials Used
• Aluminum products, scrap, lubricants, spirits, foil, paper, twine, cord, wire, emery cloth, ink, glue, lumber, chipboard, tape, staples, banding materials, rope, slings.
Tools & Equipment
• Stretchers (5,000–250,000 lbs.), powered hand saws, scales, banding tools, Staple guns, marking devices, pallet jacks, reach trucks, conveyors, hoists, micrometers, tape measure, gauges, dial indicators.
Schedule is 10 hours per day, 50 hours per week. Pay rate is $23.95/hour.
