Engineering Manager
Trillium Professional is now seeking an Engineering Manager for direct-hire in Milpitas, CA!
Annual salary is $145-190K/year, DOE.
Job Details:
-Supervises estimators, manufacturing engineers, planners and tool crib employee’s.
-Hires, fires, trains and recommends compensation for same.
-May authorize overtime as required to meet department requirements.
-Determines the best process for manufacturing parts produced by the company.
-Responsible for Departmental Budgets Determines through various tools the price at which a part may be sold by the company while maintaining minimum profitability.
-Also plans manufacturing processes to ensure manufacturability.
-This manager has the authority to direct the activities of the engineering department, plan standard routing, order tooling and other items necessary to manufacture parts for customer orders.
This position requires access to information controlled under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), the successful candidate must be a “U.S. person” as defined in the ITAR and EAR (which generally means (i) be a citizen or national of the United States; or (ii) be a lawful permanent resident of the United States; or (iii) have been admitted to the United States as a refugee, or have been granted asylum, as specified under applicable law.
Supervises the Estimators, Engineers and Planners to make efficient use of raw materials, to plan the manufacture of parts at the lowest cost to the company and to ensure that minimum selling price reflects a price at which the company will be profitable.

Job Duties:
-Supervises the work of the estimators to ensure accuracy of estimates
-Plans and develops manufacturing steps to produce parts in an efficient and timely manner.
-Develops formulas to ensure consistency of the output of the department Is an engineering resource for new product development.
-Ensures best possible turn time for new estimates.
-Responsible for development of new products and product realization from the engineering perspective.

Required Skills

• Knowledge of quality systems and standards
• Experienced in process improvement techniques
• Knowledge of business, finance and management principles
• Knowledge of engineering and technology principles and practices
• Excellent communication, teamwork, project management, and presentation skills.
• Excellent leadership/management and business acumen skills
• Driver license, auto insurance and acceptable driving record
Preferred Skills
-Experience/Knowledge of Semiconductor OEM product design requirements, Experience/Knowledge
in Aerospace/Satellite heater and cable products.
-Materials Engineering/Design Engineering knowledge.
-Previous Management Experience, Finance knowledge, Marketing knowledge, Procurement knowledge
Education Requirements
-Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
-Experience Requirements
-3-5 years Senior Engineering Leadership in Semiconductor or Aerospace environments.
Physical Requirements
Sitting, standing and travel, both domestic and international required.
Analytical and mathematical mind, capable of evaluating and solving various complex problems
Ability to lift 10 pounds.
Working Conditions
Climate controlled office and production environment. Requires travel both domestically and internationally.
