CNC Machinist

Trillium Staffing is now seeking CNC Machinists II for direct-hire placement in Rancho Cordova, CA!

Pay rate is $24.00 - $31.00 per hour. Schedule: Friday – Sunday, 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM (Work 36 hours, enjoy 4 days off!).

Core Responsibilities
-Setup & Operation: Perform setups for 2 and 3-axis machining jobs on Vertical, Horizontal, or Turning centers.
-Technical Adjustments: Manage G-code edits, adjust feeds/speeds, and report significant changes to the programming team.
-Quality Control: Troubleshoot dimensional or surface finish defects; inspect all features (excluding 3D surfaces).
-Optimization: Recommend program improvements and evaluate tool wear for alternate tooling types.
-Tooling & Fixtures: Design and build simple machining fixtures such as soft jaws and custom plates.
-Mentorship: Provide technical guidance and training to lower-level machinists.

Required Experience & Skills
-Experience: Minimum of 5 years in machining, with at least 4 years specifically focused on CNC equipment.
-Technical Proficiency: Highly skilled with at least one major CNC control (Fanuc, Mazak, or Haas).
-Precision: Expertise in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) with the ability to interpret and explain all symbols.
-Metrology: Proficient use of calipers, micrometers, height gages, pin gages, and thread gages.
-Materials: Experience working with a diverse range of material types and hardness levels.
